Hundreds of houses were affected as Rain wreaks havoc in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo!


Properties Millions of naira and lives were lost after what could be described a total down pour by  Residents of Lagos State yesterday, enveloped by fear and anguish after 10 hours of the non-stop heavy downpour that started since Wednesday night which has seen number of houses and road submerged under the flood that followed.Sections of Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway were also cut off on both sides by the flood,as many road users have been forced to either return home or seek alternative routes, others waiting for the flood to abate.Many residents could not make it to their offices and business places yesterday as most areas in the state were covered with water.

Parts of  Murtala Muhammed International Airport Road by Mobil Filling Station was submerged, same as  areas mainly in Mafoluku, Oshodi. Some of the worst hit areas include: Popo Igunnu, Jimoh and Ago-Hausa Streets, all in Okokomaiko, Iba Local Council Development Area; Jakande in Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area; Sango, Igi avenue, GRA Ikeja, Gbolahan Bankole Street in Igando LCDA, Aboru; Ipaja-Ayobo, Shogunle, Apapa, among others.
