Speaking to British radio host Tim Westwood, Minaj explained the conversation she had with Drizzy after the June 14 scuffle at the hotspot.
"I don't approve of talented people doing things that aren't conducive to an amazing career," she said, according to BET. "I spoke to Drake, and I told him from the bottom of my heart how I felt. I'm like, 'Baby, you are a superstar, and I need you to realize that.' "
She went on to note that Drake is innocent in the headline-making incident, but did share the advice she gave him, which he might want to heed in the future if he wants to avoid this type of controversy. "He did nothing wrong, of course. Rumors are rumors, and that's what it is," she said. "Sometimes, you just need to go to bed. Go to the hotel and have an early nap. There's nothing wrong with that."
